TERRY WAITE CBE

Terry Waite is an English humanitarian and author. During the 1980s, while working as an envoy for the Church of England, he successfully negotiated the release of hostages in Iran and Libya, before being taken hostage himself during negotiations in Lebanon. Following his release after six years, he decided to devote himself to study, writing, lecturing and humanitarian activities and went on to publish a number of best selling books.

“One to One Children’s Fund makes maximum use of the donations it receives to produce the greatest possible outcome. Those who give their time or their money can rest assured that it goes to those for whom it was intended, and translates into real and tangible differences.”
