Our Work

We ensure babies are born free from HIV and bring vital healthcare directly into the homes of vulnerable families. We help young people to overcome stigma and loneliness. Our projects support children from pre-natal care to adolescence.

Around the world, children are living with trauma and disease.  They often live in challenging conditions where crucial gaps in care exist. We harness the lived experience of families and bring this to our programme design; ensuring children and mothers are at the forefront of efforts to change their lives and the lives of others in their community.

We generate high impact and value for money - since 2001:

children, young people and families reached directly

children, young people and families benefitted from services

More than 20,000 children currently benefit from our programmes. Last year 87p of every £1 donated went directly to our projects.

Our three-stage methodology creates sustainable change

We identify the greatest risks facing children focussing on disease and trauma.

We pioneer evidence-based interventions that leverage local knowledge and lived experience to fill core gaps in healthcare and psychosocial services for vulnerable children across the world.

Using our evidence base, we refine our projects and scale up into new communities. We invest in capacity building and training communities, partners and governments.

To create long-term change, we only roll out cost-effective models that make a measurable difference.

We seek to put ourselves out of business. We embed proven models into local systems; integrating them into governments, organisation or communities.
