ONE TO ONE AFRICA CHILDREN’S FUND
One to One Africa Children’s Fund was established in 2014 as an independent South African registered NPO.
Our One to One Africa Children’s Fund team are based in Cape Town and the Eastern Cape. We are responsible for the design, delivery and day-to-day monitoring of our projects, working closely with our UK office to evaluate our projects and improve programme design. We are committed to accountability and transparency to our donors and the communities we support. One to One Africa Children’s Fund is governed by a Board of Trustees, with strong governance structures and finance procedures.
Our Mentor Mothers provide house-to-house healthcare and support that is transforming the lives of vulnerable mothers and babies, and building the foundation for a healthier future for the whole community in Mankosi, South Africa.
There is mounting evidence that 70% of children who live in HIV-affected households experience developmental delays. Early childhood is a critical stage for children’s future learning and wellbeing. This project is delivering early childhood development support to young children and families affected by HIV.
This programme is one of the first of its kind worldwide to identify the advantages of bringing young people with different conditions together, especially when it comes to overcoming the sense of isolation and stigma.
