South Africa Country Director

Julia leads the strategic development, planning, management, and delivery of One to One Africa Children's Fund's programmes. Julia joins us from Streetfootballworld, an international NGO that represents a global consortium of over one hundred organisations that use football as a tool for social change.

There, she worked as Network and Programme Manager overseeing the planning, management, and delivery of programmes, workshops, and other events in Africa.

Julia has worked extensively with community-based organisations throughout Africa, and is passionate about women's and children's rights and how to put these into practice.

She has a legal background, with a particular interest in international and human rights law, and has a JD from Queen's University (Canada), as well as an LLM in Human Rights Law from the University of Cape Town. Originally from Halifax, Canada, Julia has lived in South Africa since 2010, where she enjoys the more favorable climate and exploring this beautiful and fascinating country.
