International Day of People with Disabilities

In December 2011 two short films and a documentary about the work of One to One Kosova were broadcast on National TV in Kosovo to mark International Day of People with Disabilities, 3 December. 

Bajram Maxhuni (Project Director) and Liridona Zogai (Project Assistant) from the One to One Children’s Fund Kosovo team in Pristina worked hard to raise awareness of children with special needs and their family living in Kosovo. With these 30 second adverts being broadcast for one week and the 40 minute documentary shown on the day itself, we are proud to celebrate the important work of our centres.


A delegation of 20 parents and 20 children with special needs were also received by the vice-president of the national Parliament to encourage MPs to sign the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities. Each MP was given a translated copy of the Convention.
