Thought Leadership Series

The One to One Children’s Fund Thought Leadership Events, launched in 2010, facilitates free thinking debate. These events enable a diverse group of individuals to come together in a variety of venues to both debate around society’s most salient issues and engage with the work of One to One Children’s Fund.

There is no spin, political bias or jargon to these talks. They encourage critical thinking and look to place the work of the charity in a wider socio-economic and political context.

This series was launched in December 2010 with The Future of the Hedge Fund Industry at Quintessentially Soho, where 20 YPNs listened to Kevin Gundle, the co-founder of Aurum talk finance.

This was followed by Art and Fame at the Groucho club where a distinguished panel debated around the question, “Is pop culture art?”

Human Rights and the Law: the Limits of Government on 15th June is the next talk in this series. This is a highly charged area for debate. Given Bin Laden’s recent death, and the Middle Eastern uprisings, we feel there has never been a more appropriate time to consider the status of Human Rights in society.

This year’s Thought Leadership Series will culminate in Thoughts to Change the World: Focus on Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 1st December 2011.
