Volunteer & Intern Programme

Volunteer for One to One Children’s Fund and make a difference.

Over the years, One to One Children’s Fund has been helped by a strong group of volunteers who support the Charity at events, are part of an event committee, help in the office or support specific projects as and when required.

Volunteers are very important to us and are a vital additional resource. We very much value the contribution that every volunteer can make and we endeavour to make the experience for them as beneficial as possible.

Mindful of best practice and the nature of the charity’s work with children we have installed a thorough process for recruitment and selection and we make sure that each volunteer receives appropriate training, induction and ongoing support during their time volunteering with the charity.

Every volunteer is required to sign a volunteer agreement and respect the confidentiality of the charity. In return we will strive to provide each volunteer with a rewarding experience which we hope they will benefit from as much as the charity.

Commitments to third parties: Please note that volunteers do not have the authority to commit the charity to any obligations without the agreement and the written consent of a trustee or by a paid member of staff from the management team.

We are always keen to find new volunteers. If you are interested please contact Liz Clark for more details.

Internship Programme

One to One Children’s Fund also has an internship programme for graduates to gain valuable experience in an NGO environment working in international development.

“The internship at One to One Children’s Fund taught me how the motivation and passion of ordinary people can truly make a difference: everyday in places such as South Africa, Eastern Cape, Kosovo and India, needful children have a second opportunity because of the efforts of people who are driven by the determination to make a difference in their lives”.
